The Wisdom from Above podcast exists to bring glory to God by proclaiming the transforming truths of the Bible through the teaching and mentoring ministry of Dr. Harlan Betz. It is exciting to see how God is using the Wisdom from Above podcast to reach people in many countries around the world with a clear presentation of the gospel and with practical teaching from the Word of God!  

Dr Harlan Betz has a B.A from the University of Iowa, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, a Ph.D. from Cambridge Graduate School. Dr Betz has over 40 years of ministry as a Pastor, several years of ministry as a Profesor at STEP Seminary, and almost four years ministry as a Podcastor. Dr Betz is the author of Setting the Stage for Eternity (which is also available in Spanish),  Secrets of Samuel, and When Life’s Not Fair. 

His wife, Sharon, has a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Iowa. She has years of experience as a pastor's wife, a professor’s wife, and now a podcastors wife. She is a strong believer, a prayer warrior, and a wonderful homemaker. Her favorite roles are serving as a wife, a mother, a grandmorther, and a great-grandmother.

Harlan and Sharon have a love for God, a commitment to God’s Word, a love for family, and a love for people.
